Capabilities:
Whether it’s your location, or our auction house, we handle auctions everywhere. We can handle every aspect of the sale, from moving, setup and advertising to selling and final settlement. Whether it's an estate, antiques and collectibles, business liquidations, storage liens or surplus & salvage... we've done it!
Hours of operation:
We are available to answer calls any time, day or night. While you may get our answering service, please leave a message. We do check our calls frequently and will return your call ASAP! Or you may use our contact form to contact us by email. We will usually respond within 24 hours. We do not have regular business hours during the week, as we are usually in and out taking care of other business appointments, so you should call us to arrange an appointment before bringing merchandise.
Consignments Accepted:
While we Do Accept Consignments, we reserve the right to turn down merchandise that we believe will sell for less than $10 per item. While we will accept entire estates and moving lots and their complete range of merchandise, we will not usually accept smaller lots of questionable value. Please see What Sells for a general list of items that sell and items we do Not accept. If you're still not sure, contact us before bringing merchandise of questionable value.
Pick-up rates:
We would be happy to come and pick up your merchandise if you cannot bring it to us. For pick-ups within Houston-Metro area, the typical cost is $35 per person per hour, plus mileage costs at our current prevailing rate. These costs can be deducted from the sellers check. Consignment Commission rate:
Commission rate is determined by the type of goods and the condition of the merchandise and is deducted from your consignment check. Commission on general merchandise typically starts at 35%, depending on quality and demand. For high value items, special antiques and very unique items, we do offer reduced commission rates. We will NOT negotiate any commission rate until we have seen the merchandise.
Advertising:
We use in-house design and publication for developing effective advertising. We use newspapers, flyers, direct mail, email notices and several internet auction listing sites. Auction merchandise is photographed using digital cameras and published with state of the art software. Most items of significant value are listed on our web site with a picture and description for pre-auction viewing.
Internet listings:
For all good, marketable items, every attempt is made to have pictures and descriptions posted to this web site by the day prior to the auction. However, merchandise that we believe to be worth less than $50 at auction is not always listed on our web site, but are sold by choice or other process on the night of the auction.
Selling:
It's a fact that happy people spend more. Our auctions are exciting and fun, with humor and our own flair of entertainment mixed in, so that the buyers leave with a smile on their face and looking forward to coming back again. We strive to get the best price for your merchandise through the auction method of marketing and sales, however no prices are guaranteed.
Settlement:
All items are tracked by the latest and greatest in auction software. Complete totals with an itemized inventory are mailed within 10 business days, in most cases. All payments are made by check, drawn on our special Escrow Bank Account.
